Hyderabad, Sept. 12: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure smooth and peaceful Ganesh celebrations in Hyderabad.
He ordered elaborate arrangements and tight security to prevent untoward incidents during the festival.
Revanth Reddy held a review meeting on Ganesh Utsava preparations at the Legislative Council Conference Hall.
Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Azharuddin, MP Vem Narender Reddy and MLAs Danam Nagender and Sri Ganesh attended.
Senior officials from GHMC, CMC, MMC, HYDRAA and police departments also participated.
Ganesh Celebrations Get Security and Coordination Focus
Revanth Reddy said free electricity would be provided to Ganesh mandapams across Telangana.
He asked organisers to apply to the concerned authorities to access the facility.
He also urged organisers to inform local police about mandap locations in advance.
This would help officials manage traffic and security during the celebrations.
The Chief Minister asked organisers to share details of invited guests with local police commissionerates.
He said such information would help authorities respond to unexpected situations.
Officials should also prepare for Ganesh immersions at tanks being developed across Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy directed authorities to arrange cranes around the immersion tanks.
He asked municipal and police departments to monitor arrangements throughout the festivities.
A control room should also operate from the Command and Control Centre.
Special officers should coordinate festival arrangements and monitor developments.
Revanth Reddy said maintaining peace and law and order was important for Hyderabad’s growth.
He urged organisers to cooperate with authorities and said the government would address their concerns.
