River Godavari Rising: Reduced Crowd Of Devotees In Basara
Hyderabad, Sept 30 (Maxim News) Heavy rains in Telangana state have caused massive floodwaters to reach projects. Godavari has also become fierce and has caused havoc. Incessant rains have been falling in Basara.
Due to this, Godavari is flowing in a violent manner. However, even though Varuna is showing mercy in Basara… Godavari is not calm. Floodwaters are increasing every hour. Due to this, the number of devotees visiting the Basara Saraswati Devi Temple due to fear of floods has decreased by 60 percent compared to last year.
Heavy flooding has reached the main road leading to the temple from the second arch gate. In this order, the authorities are diverting vehicles to the temple via the bus stand. Barricades have been set up on the Godavari river. Due to the high flood impact, the authorities have refused to allow people to take holy dips in the Godavari river.
Meanwhile, the Godavari flood is gradually increasing in Bhadrachalam, Bhadradri Kotha Gudem district. The flow of Godavari water at 9,88,792 cusecs is continuing at 44.30 feet. Similarly, Godavari has reached a peak at Kaleshwaram, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
Flood water is flowing at a height of 12.220 meters at the main Pushkara Ghat. With this, the authorities have issued the first danger warning. Medigadda Barrage has become waterlogged with heavy flood water. The inflow and outflow in the barrage are 10,07,530 cusecs. (Maxim News)
