Shabbir Ali and Jana Reddy laud service of constables at Ramzan Idga prayers

Hyderabad, July1: In a gesture of communal harmony and national integration, the leaders of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council Sri K Jana Reddy and Mohammed Ali Shabbir and today presented a cash purse of Rs.5000 each to R Venkatesh Naik and V Pratap Singh of Kala Pathar Police station in old city .

Both the constables had displayed exemplary dedication in protecting paper mattes in around the MiralamTank Ediga on 26-6-2017 on the occasion of the Id-ul-Fitr namaz and facilitating thousands of Muslim brethren to offer prayers without any disturbance showcasing the concluding event of the Ramzan where more than 4 to 5 lakh people gathered as against arrangements to only one lakh persons.

The constables had protected the paper mattes while Muslims performing namaz from being blown away in the winds by keeping their cap on them ,though they were rule bound to not remove cap while on duty . ‘ Both constables had set new standards in communal harmony which should be followed by all to respect the sentiments of other religions ‘ the LOPs lauded.

The congress leaders had also lauded the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Sri Mahender Reddy and his team for the fool proof security and other arrangements made at the Edga grounds for the Id-Ul-Fitter prayers ,

Hyderbad has always been a role model of communal harmony and peaceful co-existence of all communities including minorities ‘ said the LOP Sri Mohammed Ali Shabbir describing the token cash award to constables and appreciation to senior officers as an acknowledgment of high regard to the Hyderabad police force .
