Telangana Budget 2026 | Hyderabad, March 20 (Maxim News): Advisor to Telangana Government Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Friday praised the Congress government headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu for presenting a pro-farmer and pro-people Budget for 2026-27, highlighting increased allocation for minority welfare and a strong push towards inclusive growth.

Shabbir welcomed the Rs.3,769 crore allocation for minorities, stating that it reflects the government’s commitment to their comprehensive uplift and equal development. He noted that the allocation marks an increase of Rs.178 crore compared to the previous year, reflecting the government’s continued priority for minority welfare.

Md Ali Shabbir said focused measures such as distribution of 10,000 sewing machines to minority women and skill development training for 4,655 minority youth were taken to enhance economic self-reliance and improve employability.

Shabbir Ali noted that the budget places minorities at the centre of welfare planning, with initiatives aimed at education, entrepreneurship and financial independence. He also welcomed the Rs.6,000 crore allocation for the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme, which will provide financial assistance to youth from SC, ST, BC, minority and other sections to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment.

Highlighting the emphasis on education, he appreciated the Young India Integrated Residential Schools initiative, under which 105 schools are being established across Assembly constituencies. He said the project would ensure quality, skill-oriented education for students from all communities, with 79 schools already sanctioned and construction underway at 44 locations.

Shabbir Ali further noted that the government has allocated over Rs.36,000 crore for SC, ST, BC and minority welfare, including Rs.11,784 crore for SCs, Rs.7,937 crore for STs and Rs.12,511 crore for BCs, calling it a clear reflection of the Congress government’s commitment to social justice.

He said the allocation of pending SC/ST Sub-Plan funds and expansion of education, skill development and livelihood programmes would help bridge historical inequalities and ensure that benefits reach marginalised communities.

Praising Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, he said the budget strikes a balance between welfare and development while prioritising farmers, weaker sections and youth. He termed it a continuation of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s vision of inclusive governance.
