Shaivagama Scholars to Pass a Resolution on Gyanvapi in Telangana

Scholars from all major Shiva temples will be assembling at Cheruvugattu Ramalingeshwara Swamy temple in Telangana for a three day national Symposium beginning on 22nd May. Apart from other topics, the major item of the discussion is going to be the Self revealing of Gyanvapi Shiva Linga at Varanasi in the Masjid area.

Chilkur Balaji temple Chief Archaka and convenor temples protection movement C S Rangarajan who will be participating at the deliberations on 23rd Monday has indicated that there would be a resolution passed requesting His Excellency the President of India Shri Ramnath Kovind to invoke the Article 143 reference power to protect the Rights of Deity Shiva Linga through quick resolution of the pending Article 363 dispute on Deity Rights.

Rangarajan earlier welcomed the observation of the Supreme Court on applicability of 1991 Places of Worship Act during the hearing on the Gyanvapi Temple Masjid row. The Ascertainment of religious character is not prohibited under 1991 Places of Worship Act is a welcome observation.

The Supreme Court today said that its interim order of May 17 for protection of the Shivling area will continue.

The Supreme Court of India on Friday made an important observation while hearing the Gyanvapi mosque matter.

During the hearing, the Supreme Court bench observed that the ascertainment of the religious character of a place of worship is not barred under the Places of Worship Act, 1991.

This is an important point which gives scope for victory of Dharma in this important case.

At this juncture, the resolution moved at the Shaivagama symposium at
Sri Cheruvugattu Jadala Ramalingeswara Swamy temple is to ensure protection of rights, dignity and self respect of Shiv Ling Deity and victory of Dharma.

The 3 day Symposium is being organised collectively by Telangana Adishaiva Brahmana Archaka Sangham and Pothulapati Somasharma Jayanthi Sabha at Chervugattu Temple which is at a distance of 16.3 km from District Nalgonda and is at a distance of 80 km from Hyderabad.
