Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi

Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News): Khalsa Panth Foundation Day (Vaisakhi) was celebrated with gaiety and devotion by Sikhs of Telangana on Sunday. Recitation of Gurubani Keertans and sermons by renowned Ragi Jathas (Preachers), taking out of a huge colourful Nagar Keertan (Holy Procession), exhilarating and breathtaking display of “Gatka” skills by Sikhs, serving of Guru ka Langar (free food), marked the 320th “Khalsa Panth Foundation Day Celebrations” popularly known as “Vaisakhi” festival.

The festival was celebrated on a grand scale by the members of the Sikh community of over Telangana with gaiety and devotion today under one umbrella at Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet. The major attraction of the celebrations was held at Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Play Grounds, Ameerpet, organized under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet, where over 25,000 Sikhs participated in the “Vishaal Deewan” (Mass Congregation).
