Media reported that the Taliban alleged a school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was being used as a hideout by ISIS K militants. Taliban authorities claimed several militants were killed in the strikes and said no civilians were harmed.

The reported drone attacks came days after Pakistan conducted air strikes near the Afghanistan border. The Taliban described its operation as a response to those attacks.

The Afghan government accused Pakistan of causing civilian casualties during its recent military operation. According to the United Nations, 28 civilians were killed and 49 others were injured. However, Pakistani security forces said they eliminated 29 militants during air and ground operations. Separately, Afghan government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat claimed that 38 civilians, including women and children, were killed in the Pakistani strikes.

India also criticised Pakistan’s recent air strikes on Afghanistan. The Ministry of External Affairs said the attacks violated Afghanistan’s sovereignty and posed a threat to regional peace. India also accused Pakistan of attempting to divert attention from its internal challenges through cross border military action.

Pakistan has consistently accused Afghanistan of sheltering militants responsible for attacks inside its territory. The Taliban administration has repeatedly denied those allegations.
