Telangana Budget 2026 | Hyderabad, March 20: Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday presented the Telangana Budget 2026 27 in the State Legislative Assembly. Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar allowed him to begin the speech.
At the start, Bhatti Vikramarka thanked the people of Telangana. He said the government puts people first in every decision. According to him, Telangana should emerge as a leading state in the country.
Further, he said the budget reflects real needs. It focuses on practical spending. Public welfare remains the main priority. In addition, women welfare received special attention. Key funds support women empowerment programmes.
The minister also spoke about culture. He said the government supports Telangana traditions. Artists received recognition through the Gaddar awards. Besides this, the state conducted the Medaram Jatara with strong arrangements.
Telangana Budget 2026 27 sector wise allocations announced
Total budget size stands at Rs 3,24,234 crore. Revenue expenditure accounts for Rs 2,34,406 crore. Capital expenditure stands at Rs 47,267 crore.
Telangana per capita income reached Rs 4,18,931. Growth rate stands at 10.20 percent. This figure remains higher than the national average by 2.7 percent. Per capita income also grew 1.9 times in recent years.
Long term economic goals were also outlined. Telangana targets a one trillion dollar economy by 2034. Another target aims at three trillion dollars by 2047.
Education received Rs 26,674 crore. Health services received Rs 13,679 crore. Power sector received Rs 21,285 crore.
Rural development received Rs 33,688 crore. Irrigation projects received Rs 22,615 crore. Urban development received Rs 17,907 crore.
SC welfare received Rs 11,784 crore. ST welfare received Rs 7,937 crore. BC welfare received Rs 3,769 crore.
Women and child welfare received Rs 3,143 crore. Housing sector received Rs 7,430 crore. Industries sector received Rs 3,490 crore.
Rajiv Yuva Vikasam received Rs 6,000 crore. Tourism sector received Rs 1,224 crore. Godavari Pushkaram arrangements received Rs 500 crore.
