Telangana Cabinet To Hold Meeting on Lockdown Extension

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is going to conduct a cabinet meeting on 30th May to discuss ongoing situations in the state that includes implementation of lockdown and the purchase of paddy from the farmers.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today decided to hold State Cabinet meeting at 2 PM.

According to the sources, the government is likely to extend the lockdown in the state for another 10 days to curb the spread of coronavirus. It is learnt that the health officials suggested that the state government should continue the lockdown.

CM KCR will announce the decision after the cabinet meeting with officials and he will also discuss the impact of lockdown extension on the state revenue. The Covid positive cases daily cases decreasing in the state after imposing the lockdown. On the other side, the black fungus cases increasing day by day in the state.

In the meeting, the Cabinet would discuss about agriculture, crops in State, availability of seeds and fertilizers, curbing the supply of spurious seeds and Corona, Lockdown and other subjects.

The cabinet meeting has assured importance in the wake of reports that the present lockdown will be extended till June 7. It may be noted here that the lockdown has been extended till the 30th of this month by the CM after taking the opinions of all his cabinet colleagues.

The Chief Minister earlier cancelled the cabinet and announced extension of the lockdown till May 30.

This was due to ministers were busy with monitoring Corona treatment, facilities and infrastructure in their respective districts. The state government is to take the decision on lockdown on May 30. It is said that the chief minister may extend the lockdown by another week or for 10 days.
