Hyderabad, June 30, 2026: The Telangana High Court has adjourned the hearing on petitions related to the fee reimbursement issue to July 6 and ordered continuation of the interim directions issued earlier in the matter.
The court clarified that the interim protection granted during the previous hearing would remain in force until the next date of hearing.
During earlier proceedings, the High Court had issued interim directions concerning implementation of certain provisions contained in Government Ordinance No. 9 related to fee collection and reimbursement.
The court had temporarily suspended the operation of four specific provisions that were under challenge in the petitions.
With the latest hearing, those interim directions will continue until July 6.
The continuation of interim protection is expected to provide temporary relief to students, parents and educational institutions amid uncertainty surrounding the implementation of the policy.
Multiple petitions were filed before the court raising concerns over aspects of the fee reimbursement framework and questioning provisions introduced through the government order.
After hearing submissions from the concerned parties, the High Court deferred further consideration of the matter.
The State government is expected to present its response and arguments during the next hearing.
The outcome of the case is being closely watched as it could affect a large number of students and educational institutions across Telangana.
