Hyderabad: The novel house-to-house fever surveys and special fever outpatient services at all government healthcare facilities in Telangana, which completed one week on Friday, have strengthened efforts to ensure patients with Covid symptoms get timely appropriate care and treatment during the Omicron driven third wave, senior health officials here on Friday said.
Launched last Friday, the field level workers of health and other government departments have so far visited over 77 lakh households and in the process have identified a total of 2,71,756 individuals with Covid symptoms, who were immediately given treatment, handed over special medical kits and advised to remain in isolation.
In the fever outpatient services that are being simultaneously held across Telangana, so far authorities have conducted over 5 lakh consultations and have provided treatment to over 75,000 individuals who were identified with Covid-19 symptoms.
