Tension In Kamareddy After Saffron Flag Found Burnt In Temple

Kamareddy/Hyderabad, Nov 3 (Maxim News): A tense situation is prevailing in Lingampet mandal headquarters after unidentified miscreants burnt a saffron flag and a flexi on which Hanuman Chalisa was written at Jambi Hanuman temple in Lingampet village on Sunday.

According to reports, people found a burned saffron flag and flexi at the temple and started protests.  Sensing trouble, the police deployed a large number of security personnel at the Jambi Hanuman temple.

Suspecting that it was the handiwork of people belonging to another community, people belonging to various charitable organizations were demanding strict action against the accused. Despite the presence of a large number of police personnel, people are gathering at the temple area to register their protest.

The senior officials have instructed the local police to take measures to defuse the situation as similar incidents have taken place in the Jambi  Hanuman temple in the past.

Recently, the desecration at Muthyalamma temple in Secunderabad snowballed into a tense confrontation between protesting devotees and police, hence the senior police officials are taking measures to control the situation and avoid untoward incidents. (Maxim News)
