Tesla to Open Sales and Service Centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Global electric vehicle giant Tesla has expressed interest in establishing a sales and service centre in Hyderabad, giving a major boost to Telangana’s growing electric mobility and technology ecosystem.

According to the Telangana government, representatives of Tesla India held discussions with D. Sridhar Babu on Friday regarding the company’s expansion plans in India.

During the meeting, Tesla officials informed the minister that the company is preparing to launch a sales and service centre in Hyderabad as part of its India expansion strategy.

Telangana Pitches EV And Technology Ecosystem

Speaking during the meeting, Minister Sridhar Babu said Telangana has developed a strong ecosystem for electric vehicles, intelligent mobility systems, and advanced technology industries.

He stated that the state has emerged as a major destination for semiconductor design, automobile software development, electronics engineering, artificial intelligence, and deep technology sectors.

The minister highlighted Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a technology and innovation hub with world class infrastructure, skilled talent, and investor friendly industrial policies.

Tesla Executives Discuss Expansion Plans

The minister congratulated Tesla India General Manager Sharad Agarwal and Lead Public Policy and Business Development Director Rajat for selecting Hyderabad as the company’s next destination for expansion.

Officials said Tesla has already established four showrooms in different parts of the country and Hyderabad is now being considered for further expansion of sales and after sales operations.

The Telangana government welcomed Tesla’s interest and assured complete support for investments related to technology, manufacturing, and industrial development in the state.

Focus On Future Mobility And Investment

Minister Sridhar Babu also invited Tesla representatives to explore opportunities for establishing ancillary industries and supply chain units connected to electric vehicle manufacturing and mobility technologies in Telangana.

The government believes Tesla’s entry into Hyderabad could attract additional investments in electric mobility, battery technology, electronics, and automobile software sectors.

Industry experts said the development could further strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a leading destination for future mobility technologies and advanced manufacturing investments in India.
