Hyderabad, April 8 (Maxim News): TPCC election coordination committee convener Niranjan on Monday said they have several doubts regarding possible EVM tampering in the upcoming elections. He said the onus on preventing EVM irregularities in the elections, Niranjan demanded that the Election Commission take all steps to avoid any kind of irregularities from the point of completion of election till the EVMs were sent to strong rooms. He also demanded that the Commission give pink numbers, control unit, ballot unit numbers to the agents of the contesting candidates.
Niranjan said after they lodged a complaint, the EC issued guidelines to the officials concerned. He said the provision of the list consisting of pink numbers would help the contesting candidates to have all the details about the EVMs. He urged the EC to hold a mock polling a day before polling in the presence of the observers.
