Medak/Hyderabad, Oct 12 (Maxim News) A tribal woman, who was brutally assaulted and gang-raped near the Edupayala temple in Kulcharam mandal, succumbed to her injuries while being shifted to Gandhi Hospital on Saturday night.
The woman, found tied to a tree in an unconscious state earlier in the day, had sustained multiple injuries, including a fracture on her hand.
Tribal Woman Died After Gang-Rape In Medak
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had hired the woman for labour work from Medak town on Friday morning. Instead of taking her to work, they took her to an isolated spot near the temple, where they allegedly beat and raped her.
Locals who discovered the woman in an unconscious state alerted the police, who rushed her to a nearby hospital before she was shifted to Gandhi Hospital, where she died en route.
Police said efforts were underway to identify and trace the culprits using CCTV footage from nearby areas.(Maxim News)
