Two day National Executive meeting of the Indian Journalists Union

Hyderabad, Oct.21 (Maxim News): The National Executive committee meeting of Indian Journalists Union (IJU) will be held on October, 23 and 24 after long gap physically in Hyderabad, first time after the formation of Telangana state. The meeting will be attended by almost all states and union territories including Asom and Ladakh.

The two day NEC meeting will deliberate on the issues concerning the profession of journalism, freedom of the press, growing attacks on working journalists and media houses and safety and security of journalists in the country.

V. Srinivas Goud, Minister for Excise, tourism and sports and B. Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chairman, Telangana State Planning Board will address the two day meeting to begin on October 23, at Tourism Plaza, Begumpet, Hyderabad. The Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) is hosting the meeting. (Maxim News)
