Two Persons Arrested in Moghalpura Attempt to Murder Case

Hyderabad, April 13: (Maxim News): The Commissioner’s Task Force (South Zone) swiftly intervened in a recent attempted murder case that occurred at Y5 Bar and Restaurant in Moghalpura, Hyderabad. The prompt action led to the apprehension of two individuals allegedly involved in the attack.

Ms. S. Rashmi Perumal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Commissioners’ Task Force, Hyderabad in a statement, said that the accused Shaik Sajid (28), A resident of Barkas and a vegetable vendor by profession. Sajid has a documented history of criminal activity, listed as a “Rowdy Sheeter” at Balapur Police Station (Rachakonda) for nine separate offenses related to property damage and physical assault, and Shaik Amer (37), An auto driver residing in Bhavani Nagar. Amer also possesses a criminal background involving three property-related offenses.

On the evening of April 9th, 2024, Pavan Roopner (27) was a patron at Y5 Bar and Restaurant when the two accused individuals entered the establishment. Following alcohol consumption, an altercation erupted in the parking area.

The accused verbally abused and attacked. Roopner with a sharp object, believed to be a knife, causing injuries to his neck and ear. An employee, Sai Prasad, attempted to intervene but was also assaulted, sustaining facial injuries.

Acting on a tip-off, the South Zone Task Force swiftly mobilized and apprehended the accused. The duo was then handed over to Moghalpura Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Ande Srinivasa Rao, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Commissioner’s Task Force. Inspector Shaik Jakeer Hussain, along with his team consisting of Sub-Inspectors K. Narasimhulu, J. Anjaneyulu, and N. Naveen, successfully executed the apprehension, S. Rashmi Perumal added.
