UP Congress protests over “misrule” of Modi and Yogi govt

The Uttar Pradesh Congress today held a state-wide protest campaign against both the Centre as well as the state government on the August Kranti Day anniversary to make the people aware about the ‘failures’ of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the Yogi Adityanath government of UP.

Though the protest in Lucknow was peaceful but in other parts of the state, including Gorakhpur and Varanasi, Congress workers were arrested and detained by police.

In Lucknow, the Congress activists brought out a march from the state Congress office and held a meeting at the Gandhi samark near GPO where they burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
