Uttam’s Plea In LS—Honour Reorganization Act Assurances

New Delhi, July 9 (Maxim News): TPCC chief and Nalgonda M P Uttam Kumar Reddy today made a fervent plea to the Centre to honour the assurances given in the AP reorganization Act.

Raising the issue in the Lok Sabha during Zero Hour, Reddy said the people of Telangana are totally disappointed that there is no mention of anything for Telangana either in the address of the President of India or in the Finance minister’s budget presentation speech.

In particular, there is no mention in both the above speeches regarding assurances given to the people of Telangana in the AP bifurcation bill.

Very specifically the assurances given in the bill regarding railway coach factory at Kazipet, steel factory at Bayyaram, and Tribal University should be honoured. If the tribal university is Rs.one crore per year, how is it possible to build a university, he asked.

‘The Home Minister, Amit Shah, is in the house and listening to my speech. I demand that the assurances given to the people of Telangana in AP bifurcation bill be honoured’, he added. (Maxim News)
