Hyderabad, Sept.16 (NSS): Former Gujarat Chief Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan here on Friday.
Vaghela, also a former Union Minister, was accorded a grand welcome by Rajya Sabha Member D Damodhar Rao, MLA Balka Suman and MLC Madhusudhan Rao at Pragathi Bhavan.
Both Shankarsingh Vaghela and KCR discussed the country’s politics and national issues.
Vaghela recently announced a new political party Praja Shakti Democratic Party ahead of Assembly elections in Gujarat.
The meeting comes amid renewed attempts by KCR to bring together all like-minded parties across the country to forge a front against the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader also plans to float a national political party.
Recently, former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has also met KCR in Hyderabad and discussed about the agenda of national party to be proposed by the Telangana State. (NSS)
