Waqf Board Chairman Azmathullah Hussaini announced that the Board now holds the Record Room keys. He said the Revenue Department had retained control of the Record Room for nearly nine years.

Mallik welcomed the decision and called it an important step towards transparency and accountability. He said Tahreek Muslim Shabban and several Muslim organisations had repeatedly demanded that the Record Room return to the Waqf Board. He added that access to official records would help protect Waqf properties and improve governance.
Moreover, Mallik urged the Board to publish its annual income, expenditure, and welfare spending. He said the public has a right to know how the Board uses Waqf funds. He also stressed that the Board must spend Waqf money only for the welfare of poor and deserving people. “Waqf properties are not meant for the wealthy. They are meant for the poor and the needy,” he said.
