Chandrababu Naidu Launches VBG Ramji Scheme In Tirupati

Tirupati, July 2: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday launched the VBG Ramji Scheme in Mukkavaripalli of Tirupati district and said the programme would improve the living standards of poor families by generating employment in rural areas.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan attended the launch. Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu said the coalition government was accelerating development across Andhra Pradesh.

VBG Ramji Scheme

The Chief Minister said the VBG Ramji Scheme would provide employment for up to 185 days a year and include a digital monitoring system to ensure transparency and prevent irregularities. He also said the states’ share in the scheme had increased from 10 percent to 40 percent.

Highlighting development initiatives, Chandrababu announced that a Google data centre would be established in North Andhra and that a fighter aircraft manufacturing facility was coming up in Puttaparthi. He said Rayalaseema would be developed as an industrial hub and added that the foundation stone for a steel plant would soon be laid in Jammalamadugu.

He reiterated that the Polavaram project would be completed before the next Godavari Pushkaram. Chandrababu also praised the Union Government’s development policies and expressed confidence that India would continue to progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister credited Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan with supporting rural development and said villages in the state were witnessing visible transformation.

During his speech, Chandrababu also criticised the YSR Congress Party and its president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over their stand on Amaravati. He alleged that the party had changed its position after coming to power and asserted that no one could stop the development of Amaravati as the state capital.
