WATCH | First Time After Telangana Formation: AIMIM MLAs Stage Walk Out From Assembly

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (Maxim News): For the first time after the formation of Telangana state, AIMIM who always stood support to the ruling party including the previous BRS government, headed by the then Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao‘s two terms and after formation of Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extent support (friendly party) the party members stage walk out alleging that the Assembly is being converted to Gandhi Bhavan.

Tension prevailed in the Telangana Assembly on Monday. AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi strongly criticized the Assembly and said that it should not be converted into Gandhi Bhavan. AIMIM MLAs walked out of the Assembly, alleging that the Congress government has completely failed to run the Assembly effectively.

Akbaruddin Owaisi expressed anger stating that “This is the Assembly, not Gandhi Bhavan! Run the Assembly like an Assembly,” he warned the government. He criticized Congress leaders for using the discussions for political mileage instead of taking them forward in an organized manner.

The MIM MLAs walked out of the Assembly in protest against the government’s behavior and suggested that the Congress focus on the problems of the people. They said that the government should act responsibly if there is to be unanimous public discussions in the Assembly. (Maxim News)
