Hyderabad, July 5: Water supply will be suspended for 24 hours from 6:00 am on July 6 to 6:00 am on July 7 for maintenance at the Allabanda reservoir.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board will repair major leakages and replace inlet and outlet valves at the 10 million litre Allabanda reservoir in Goshamahal.
The shutdown is necessary to complete valve work and improve distribution efficiency. Several localities will face disruption, including Jirra, Indiranagar, Hari Darga, Kummarwadi, Tappachabutra, Akashpuri, Shibli Hills, areas near Bilal Masjid, Godeki Kabar, Ziaguda, Karwan, Sabzimandi, Ganganagar, Osmania, Shivalal Nagar, Rahimpura, Puranapul, Chudi Bazaar, Shankar Bazaar, Jumeraat Bazaar and nearby neighbourhoods.
Authorities advised residents to store sufficient water in advance and to use supplies carefully. They also urged the public to avoid unnecessary water use and cooperate until normal supply resumes.
