Youth Attacked On Necklace Road Dies In Hospital
Hyderabad, June 15 (Maxim News): A 24-year-old man, Sai Sagar of Dhoolpet, who was attacked and grievously injured allegedly by a rowdy sheeter on the Necklace Road two days ago, died in the hospital today.
Victim Sai Sagar, who had gone to celebrate his birthday along with two friends Mahesh and Balakrishna on the Necklace Road on Wednesday night was allegedly hit by Kabeer Khan alias Junaid. Around 3 am on Thursday, while the three were returning home, they spotted Kabeer Khan consuming liquor and indulging in obscene acts with a girl publicly on the Necklace road and made some comments. The accused abused them following which they got into an altercation. In a fit of rage, Junaid attacked Sai Sagar with a stone resulting in a head injury. On receipt of the information, the Ramgopalpet police rushed to the spot and admitted Sai Sagar in a private hospital. But the victim died while undergoing treatment.
Ramgopalpet police Inspector T Chanchala Babu said the accused is a rowdy-sheeter from Miryalguda and has 16 criminal cases registered against him. He said a case was registered under Section 307 (murder attempt) and other Sections of IPC against Junaid and he was arrested. “The case will now be altered to Section 302 of IPC,” the Inspector said. Meanwhile, the family members of Sai Sagar, after his death, staged a dharna in front of the Osmania General Hospital on Saturday morning demanding stringent action against Junaid. (Maxim News)
