Hyderabad: War of Succession of Asaf Jahi Family Begins

• Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan Chosen The IX Nizam of Hyderabad By the Majlis-E-Sahebzadegan Society

• Demands CBI Enquiry Into Affairs of All Trusts of Nizam Family

Hyderabad | Feb 11 (Maxim News): War of succession of IX Nizam of Hyderabad Asaf Jahi family begins, as against Prince Azmat Jah the son of H.E.H. Late Mukkaramjah Bahadur 8th Nizam of Hyderabad who was coronated after the demise of his father H.E.H. Mukkaramjah Bahadur, The members of Majlis-E-Sahebzadegan Society Descendants of the Nizam (I-VI) comprising of over 4500 members chase, Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan, one of the descendants of the royal family has been chosen as Nizam IX of Hyderabad.

Speaking to press persons, here today, Sahebzada Mir Mujtaba Ali, President, Sahebzada Mir Nizamuddin Ali Khan, Vice President and Spokesperson, General Secretary Sahebzada Mohd Moizuddin Khan, Fatima Barkat Ali Khan, and others of Majlis-E-Sahebzadegan Society have informed that the “Sahebzadegan are direct descendants of Nizam (I-VI) comprises around 4500 members, we together had reached a condenses and chosen “Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan” as the IX Nizam of Asaf Jahi family under customary succession.

They said Prince Azmat Jah continues to maintain silence, is absent, and remains noncommunicable with the members of the Asaf Jahi family members and did not take over the responsibilities of the Asaf Jahi family, it prompted us to choose the best amongst the family.

Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan said that he met the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G. Kishan Reddy and State Minister K. Tarak Rama Rao today and discussed the functioning of the Nizam Family Trusts and also demanded CBI inquiry of these trusts.

He alleged, that the properties, articles, and many other belongings of Nizams had been lying in a state of neglect, across the world and there is not any proper person to take up the responsibilities.

H.E.H. Mukkaramjah Bahadur left Hyderabad and stayed in Australia & Turkey and rarely visited Hyderabad during his lifetime.

During this duration, many properties, articles, and belongings of Nizams were stolen, grabbed, and sold. After Mukkaramjah his son Azmeth Jah had hardly been to Hyderabad and is unaware of any responsibilities and workings of Asaf Jahi properties.

Declared Conducting Grand Coronation Ceremony

Majlis-e-Sahebzadegan society has declared that the grand Coronation Ceremony will soon follow where the family and the citizens of Hyderabad will be invited to witness the grand coronation ceremony. The importance of choosing Nizam in this era is to take over the responsibilities of the family and represent its rich heritage, legacy, and customs to the world.

Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan had been quite vocal about the heritage and has often represented the heritage, Tehzeeb, the legacy of Hyderabad.

They said, Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan has always been a visionary, also reputed to be very ethical, and has been representing Hyderabadi Nizami Tehzeeb.

He is also one of the wealthiest nawabs in Hyderabad the society looks forward to having an able face of its culture and an example of the Secular Traditions of the Asaf Jahi family.

He was approached by the Majlis-E-Sahebzadagan Society twice before in the last three years, but out of the sheer fact that H.E.H. Late Mukaram Jah Bahadur was not consulted, he refused.

However, again after having tried consulting Prince Azmet Jah, but failing in getting through, Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan has now consented to take up the responsibilities due to the escalated request of Majlis E Sahebzadagan Society and the members of the Royal family. (Maxim News)
