PM Modi to Flag Off Second Vande Bharat Express Train

  • Tirupati-Sec’bad Vande Bharat to run via Guntur, Nalgonda

PM Modi | Hyderabad, April 1 (Maxim News) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start the second Train Vande Bharat train between the two Telugu States (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh). It will be launched from Secunderabad on April 8.

The services will be available between Secunderabad – Tirupati, presently it takes 11 to 12 hours to travel between Secunderabad and Tirupati, but the Vande Bharat train takes just 8 hours and 30 minutes to reach the destination.

The train will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur station on the inauguration day. On normal days Vande Bharata trains will halt at Nalgonda, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore stations.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy thanked Prime Minister Modi for allocating the second Vande Bharat Rail.

On the day of the inauguration, the local people have been asked to give a warm welcome to the Make in India Vande Bharat train at all the stations where it will stop.

He said that this train will provide its services between Secunderabad to Tirupati.

The Prime Minister will also be laying the foundation stone for the Secunderabad station modernisation and launch the Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar doubling-electrification line.

It is not yet finalised if the public function will be at platform No. 10 for waving the green flag for the Tirupathi bound Vande Bharat train which is likely to start in the morning to reach Tirupati in late afternoon, in return it will start in the afternoon to reach in the night here.

The new Vande Bharat train, second after first one was launched towards Visakhapatnam on January 15, is expected to traverse via Miryalaguda, Guntur and Gudur sections akin to the Sabari Express. While the railway authorities have begun preparations, Mr. Modi is also likely to address a public meeting at the Parade Grounds later. But final word about the date is yet to come from the PMO office, insisted senior railway officials. (Maxim News)
