Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, KTR targeted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, claiming the party had failed to implement the commitments made under its Youth Declaration during the Assembly election campaign.

KTR alleged that nearly two years had passed since the Congress government announced a job calendar in the Assembly, but large scale recruitment had not materialised.

He claimed the government’s failure to fill vacancies had led to frustration among unemployed youth and referred to a recent alleged suicide attempt by a job aspirant, saying the incident reflected growing despair.

KTR Questions Congress Over Job Promises

KTR claimed the Congress had promised to fill two lakh government jobs, but alleged that even 10,000 vacancies had not been filled since it came to power.

He also questioned why, according to him, only 7,000 police vacancies had been notified despite around 20,000 posts remaining vacant.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s campaign in Hyderabad’s Ashok Nagar, KTR asked what had happened to the assurances given to unemployed youth during the elections.

He further criticised remarks allegedly made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding job aspirants and engineering graduates.

KTR alleged that such statements were insensitive and accused the Chief Minister of insulting educated youth. He also questioned whether Rahul Gandhi was aware of the concerns being raised by unemployed youth in Telangana.

KTR alleged that none of the 24 promises made in the Congress Youth Declaration had been fulfilled so far.

Questions Over Recruitment and Education

During the press conference, KTR also questioned the Chief Minister’s educational background and administrative experience, making political remarks about his ability to understand the struggles faced by students and job seekers.

Drawing a comparison with the previous BRS government, KTR claimed that despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and reduced central funding, the BRS administration had filled over two lakh government jobs.

He demanded that the Congress government announce a clear timeline for filling the promised vacancies and urged both Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi to respond to the concerns of unemployed youth.
