Hyderabad: Heavy Rains For Next Five days
Hyderabad, May 10: Indian Meteorological department – Hyderabad has issued a heavy rain forecast for Telangana. Rains are expected till the end of this week. IMD has issued a rain alert. It has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rains and winds in Hyderabad. It advised people not to come out unless necessary.
GHMC has also warned people to be cautious. People are asked to be careful with manholes. The Meteorological Department of Hyderabad has stated that rains and winds with a speed of 40 km will continue for another 5 days in many parts of Telangana.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Bandlaguda, Ramachandrapuram and Serilingampally areas will receive 15.6 mm to 64.4 mm of rainfall on Thursday and the predicted rainfall in the next five days will break records.
The IMD has warned that thundershowers along with gusty winds or hail are likely to occur at the end of the week. Rains are likely for two days. It explained that the sky will be cloudy with one or two chances of rain or thundershowers.
Light to moderate rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places. Hail showers and gusty winds are likely to occur at some places. The Meteorological Department of Hyderabad has predicted that there is a possibility of thunder and lightening rains in some districts. It revealed that light to moderate rains will occur.
In the wake of rains, people should be alert and should not come out unless necessary. In view of strong winds, stay in safe places. Rainfall alert has also been issued in all the districts of the state. Farmers are advised to take necessary measures to protect their crops.
The rains are expected to bring relief to the city, which has been facing dry weather for the past few months. Officials advise all DRF teams to be on alert for heavy rains and please stay indoors unless travel is essential.
