MANUU held awareness and sensitization programme

Hyderabad: The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU)  organized an awareness and sensitization programme as part of 16-day international campaign (25 November, 2023 to 10 December, 2023) for elimination of violence against women and the National Human Rights Commission advisory on prevention of CSAM on 8th December, 2023.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor presided over the programme. He also distributed prizes and certificates among winners of various competitions which were held during the campaign.

The Expert resource persons Dr Farzana Khan, Head of Operations, My Choices Foundation, Dr Anita Sable, Head, Department of LLM, Symbiosis, and Ms Pearl Choragudi, Head of Interventions, My Choices Foundation spoke on “Elimination of Violence Against Women”, “Fortifying the Formative Years: Prevention of Child Abuse” and “Trauma and the Healing Process for Survivors of Violence and Abuse” respectively.

Prof. Gulfishaan Habeeb, Chairperson, ICC delivered the opening remarks and presented a brief report on the Talks, Workshop, Interactive Sessions, and Competitions held during awareness programme.  

An MoU between Department of Women Education, MANUU and My Choices Foundation was also unveiled on the occasion. Prof. Ameena Tahseen, Head, Department of Women Education spoke about the MoU.

Dr Shaik Waseem welcomed the gathering, Dr Shakera Parveen introduced the resource persons and Ms Arundhati T. proposed the vote of thanks. The event was jointly organized by the ICC and Department of Women Education in association with My Choices Foundation.
