CBI Terms MLC Kavitha As Accused in Delhi Liquor Scam

Hyderabad, Feb 23 (Maxim News):  The Delhi Liquor Scam case took a turning point,  CBI has issued an order making BRS MLC Kavitha an accused. Kavitha was told to attend the hearing on February 26 after revising the 41A CrPC notice given so far.

In the past, CBI officials questioned Kavitha three times in connection with the same case.  When summons were issued for Kavita for the fourth time, instead of attending the hearing, she filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

The petition said that she had no involvement in the liquor scam.  The hearing on the petition filed in the Supreme Court will be held on February 28.  The case took a crucial turn when the notice given to Kavitha was amended and she was included as an accused.

The judgment of the Supreme Court will determine whether Kavitha is accused or innocent.  In this order, it has become suspense whether Kavitha will go to CBI investigation under the notice or wait until the Supreme Court verdict.  (Maxim News)
