This year, however, scientists from the USA say it might be hotter everywhere. Places like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha could also hit 40 degrees Celsius. They looked at temperature data from 1970 until now and found a big change in India’s weather.

Winters in North India are especially warmer now compared to the 1970s. Some places like Jammu are even 2.8 degrees Celsius (5.0 degrees Fahrenheit) hotter!

The scientists also say 51 cities in India could hit 40 degrees Celsius by the end of March. They even say there’s a chance of hailstorm because of global warming, which is unusual for this time of year.

Since it’s going to be hot, be prepared for summer weather! The reason for this heat is climate change, which is caused by pollution that traps heat in the air.

Cities growing fast, factories working hard, and lots of car fumes all make things worse.

To cool things down, we need more plants and trees, and factories and cars need to pollute less. By working together, we can fight climate change and adjust to a warmer world. (Maxim News)
