Rs. 12.17 Lakh Cash Seized In Last 24 Hours In Hyderabad: DEO Ronald Rose 

Hyderabad, April 13 (Maxim News) : During the last 24-hour period from 6 am on Friday to 6 am on Saturday, District Election Officer Ronald Rose announced a significant seizure. A sum of Rs. 12,17,000/- in cash, along with additional items valued at Rs. 63,307/- and 86.07 liters of liquor, were confiscated in Hyderabad.

Ronald Rose revealed that this operation was prompted by 14 complaints regarding cash and other items, resulting in 9 FIRs being lodged. Moreover, 52 licensed weapons were also surrendered during this period.

The cumulative figures paint a broader picture of the district’s election security efforts. To date, a staggering Rs. 13,45,36,960/- in cash and goods worth Rs. 1,88,61,346/- have been seized. This involved the handling of 160 cases, leading to the arrest of 155 individuals and the submission of 2,593 licensed weapons. Additionally, 19,988.77 liters of liquor were confiscated, with 326 complaints addressed and resolved.

Since the initiation of the election schedule, the joint efforts of the Police and IT teams, alongside the Special Surveillance Teams (SST), have resulted in further substantial seizures. A total of Rs. 2,92,76,740/- in cash has been intercepted, bolstered by the seizure of Rs. 10,36,80,530/- in IT assets. The SST teams alone have contributed by confiscating Rs. 15,79,690/- in cash. These efforts signify a robust commitment to ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. (Maxim News)
