Hyderabad City Police Conduct 19th Phase Auction of Abandoned Vehicles

Hyderabad, Aug 6, 2024: The Hyderabad City Police held its 19th phase auction of abandoned and unclaimed vehicles at the Goshamahal Police Stadium on Tuesday, under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City.

Auction Highlights

The event was presided over by Rakshitha Krishnamurthy, IPS, DCP CAR Headquarters, Hyderabad, who addressed the bidders, primarily from the automobile industry, urging them to participate fairly and transparently.

Approximately 500 bidders from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra attended the auction. A total of 1,161 vehicles were auctioned, comprising:

  • 1,093 Vehicles in Scrap Condition: Including 1,072 two-wheelers, 16 three-wheelers, and 5 four-wheelers, which collectively fetched ₹80,35,000.
  • 68 Roadworthy Two-Wheelers: These were sold for ₹11,08,500.

The total revenue from the auction amounted to ₹91,43,500, which will be deposited into the Government Treasury.
