Hyderabad, July 10, 2025 (Maxim News): A major tragedy was narrowly avoided on Wednesday morning when a private school bus caught fire near Kishtareddypet in Sangareddy district. Fortunately, all five students on board managed to escape safely, with no injuries reported.
According to initial reports, smoke began to billow from the bus while it was en route to school. Alerted by the smoke, the driver and students quickly exited the vehicle before the flames engulfed the bus.
By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the vehicle had already been completely gutted. Locals helped raise the alarm and ensured the safety of the children while waiting for emergency services.

Authorities said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been launched to assess whether a mechanical fault or electrical short circuit led to the incident.
This near-miss has raised fresh concerns over the safety protocols of school transportation services, particularly with regard to the maintenance of private buses operating in semi-urban and rural areas. (Maxim News)
