Source said that they took note of civil works required to make the property functional and discussed a plan to complete essential repairs.
The teams also aligned on documenting the scope of restoration to enable a time-bound turnaround.
According to sources, the Housing Board Corporation will prepare a detailed report capturing technical findings and recommended works. This report is expected to guide the next steps.
Therefore, the Waqf Board is likely to proceed with leasing the property after completing necessary repairs and restoration.
The approach, officials indicated, is meant to ensure compliance, safety, and readiness for commercial use.
The site had remained unused for a long period, which led to questions about asset utilization and upkeep.
Today’s joint inspection signals a shift toward bringing the property back into productive use. Meanwhile, the coordinated presence of Housing Board, R&B, and Waqf officials points to an integrated plan for restoration. Also, the move aligns with efforts to optimize endowments through transparent leasing after due diligence.
Next, the corporation’s report will be finalized and submitted for action. Then, the Waqf Board is expected to initiate the repair process and formalize lease modalities.
Stakeholders indicated that a structured lease after restoration would help generate steady revenue while preserving the endowment’s interests.
Additionally, officials emphasized that any leasing will follow standard procedures and legal norms to safeguard the property’s status. (Maxim News)
