We Will Bring A Law Against Love Jihad: Assam CM

Nagom (Assam)/Hyderabad, Oct 23 (Maxim News): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that laws will soon be brought in to ban love jihad and polygamy in the state. He said that bills related to this will be introduced in the upcoming assembly sessions.

He said that in addition to protecting the Shastras (Vaishnav cultural centers) that made Assam unique, laws are also being made to provide land rights to tribals working in tea gardens.  he told the media on Wednesday while participating in an event that the draft bills related to these issues will be prepared and full details will be revealed after the cabinet approves them.  (Maxim News)
