Snakebite Claims A Life Of A Child In Rajanna Sircilla
- Snakebite tragedy shocks Asireddypalli village in Chandurthi
- Family mourns as police begin investigation into the fatal incident
A tragic incident occurred in Asireddypalli village of Chandurthi mandal, Rajanna Sircilla district, where a one-and-a-half-year-old girl died after being bitten by a snake. The child, identified as Vedanshi, was the daughter of Chekuta Latha and Ramesh. The event has left the local community in deep sorrow.
On Saturday evening, Vedanshi was playing in front of her house when her family suddenly heard her cry out. They rushed to check and found her bleeding between her toes. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the family immediately took her to a private hospital in Vemulawada.
Doctors confirmed that the child’s condition was critical due to a snakebite. Despite their efforts, her health worsened. The family decided to move her to another private hospital in Yellareddypet at midnight. However, the child tragically passed away on the way.
According to family members, Vedanshi’s father, Ramesh, had left for Dubai about six months ago for work. Upon receiving news of his daughter’s death, he began his journey back to his hometown. The child’s body was kept in a freezer as relatives and villagers paid their respects.
Sub-Inspector Ramesh stated that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway following a complaint filed by the child’s family. The heartbreaking incident has raised awareness about the need for better safety measures in rural areas vulnerable to snakebites, especially during evening hours when children play outdoors.
