KTR Declares Stand On Telangana Identity At Diksha Divas

KTR Declares a firm stand on Telangana identity as he marked Diksha Divas with a long and sharp address. He spoke before party leaders, movement veterans, and citizens at Telangana Bhavan. He said the struggle for Telangana is not just past but a duty. He added that it must be protected each day. He used the platform to recall the Telangana movement and the early days of the fast by KCR. He also attacked the Congress leadership and accused it of ignoring the history of the struggle.

He said, “the struggle for Telangana is not just history—it is an identity that must be safeguarded every single day.” He questioned the PCC chief who speaks now about the Telangana movement. He said, “During the Telangana movement, no one knew where the PCC president was. Today he talks recklessly about KCR’s fast.” He reminded that the Congress government asked KCR to stop the fast as his life had become important for the political decision on Telangana. He said the “hands of Congress leaders are stained with the blood of Telangana’s children.” He called Congress the “permanent villain” in the Telangana story.

KTR Declares that people must remember the cost paid by many. He said, “Without the three letters K C R, there would be no Telangana.” He asked the ruling party to show courage and said, “If you have the guts, make the ten MLAs you poached resign and face fresh elections.” He added that Diksha Divas is a day to hold on to resolve and remember the sacrifices of many. He said the BRS thanked Sonia Gandhi after statehood but never called her a “Bali Devatha of Telangana.”

He accused Congress of hurting Telangana identity over the years. He announced that the Rajiv Gandhi statue at the Secretariat entrance would give way to the statue of Telangana Talli. He said this would restore pride. He also linked the fast of 2009 with major moments in India’s freedom struggle. He recalled the slogan “KCR dies or Telangana comes” and said it united all groups. He noted that KCR spent years before the fast working alone.

KTR said that Diksha Divas must be like Dussehra or Deepavali as a reminder of good over wrong. He said November 29 and December 9 must remind people of injustice and the loss of youth. He invoked Telangana icons and urged people to guard autonomy. He said the BRS is the force that can protect the state. He ended by saying, “Even in silence, KCR shakes politics. Telangana will rise again with his voice.”
