Accident on Hyderabad Vijayawada Highway Injures Many

Hyderabad: A Hyderabad Vijayawada highway accident left several passengers injured after a private travel bus collided with a lorry near Chitala on Tuesday.

According to police, the Hyderabad Vijayawada highway accident occurred on National Highway 65 during morning hours. The bus was travelling from Narketpally to Hyderabad when it rammed into a stationary lorry. As a result, multiple passengers sustained injuries. However, none were reported to be critical.

Meanwhile, local residents alerted emergency services immediately. Consequently, police teams reached the spot and began rescue operations. Ambulances shifted the injured to nearby hospitals without delay. Traffic on the busy highway slowed briefly but later resumed after clearance.

Hyderabad Vijayawada highway accident disrupts traffic

Police identified two injured passengers as Ramaprabhu, aged 61, and Anagha, aged 25, both from Medchal. In addition, several others suffered minor injuries. Doctors admitted them to a private hospital near Narketpally for treatment. Officials said their condition remains stable.

Furthermore, authorities regulated traffic to prevent further congestion. They also cleared the damaged vehicles from the carriageway. National Highway 65 connects Hyderabad with coastal Andhra Pradesh and carries heavy daily traffic. Therefore, accidents on this stretch often disrupt movement.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation. Officials said they are examining possible causes, including speed and driver fatigue. More details are awaited.
