Congress Is Most Corrupt Party: KTR

  • Congress most corrupt party claim as leaders join BRS
  • Congress rule, demolitions and Medigadda remarks by KTR

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K Tarak Rama Rao on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, calling it the most corrupt party in the history of India. He made the remarks while welcoming several Congress leaders into the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. The leaders included the Sarpanch of Chennambavi in the Kolhapur constituency. KTR formally inducted them by covering them with party scarves.

Speaking at the event, KTR said governments across the world focus on building infrastructure for public welfare. He said they aim to construct check dams, build tanks, and ensure water reaches people. However, he alleged that the Congress government in the state was taking a different path. He said the Congress was talking about demolishing the Medigadda project and blowing up tanks and check dams.

KTR said such statements exposed the mindset of the Congress party. He alleged that instead of protecting public assets, the party was questioning development works. He said no responsible government would think of destroying water infrastructure that supports farmers and rural communities. Meanwhile, he claimed the Congress leadership was busy making statements that went against public interest.

Continuing his attack, KTR said the Congress party had ignored the welfare of people and focused only on political gain. He said, “the most corrupt party in India that ignores the welfare of the people and seeks political gain is the Congress party.” He added that the party had failed to deliver meaningful governance after coming to power. According to him, demolitions were the only visible action taken by the Congress government so far.

He also recalled the beginning of these demolitions. He said the Congress government started its actions by demolishing a colony meant for persons with disabilities in Mahabubnagar. He used this example to question the priorities of the ruling party. Therefore, he claimed the Congress had shown little concern for vulnerable sections of society.

Later, KTR said the joining of Congress leaders into the BRS reflected growing dissatisfaction within the Congress ranks. He suggested that leaders at the grassroots were losing faith in the party’s leadership and governance. Meanwhile, he asserted that the BRS continued to stand for development and welfare.

The statements by KTR come amid ongoing political tensions in the state. The Congress most corrupt party remark is likely to further sharpen the political exchange between the two parties in the coming days.
