Hyderabad, Feb. 17 (Maxim News): The Telangana Education Department has ordered half day schools across the state from March 16 due to rising temperatures.
Schools will function from 8 am to 12.30 pm. Subsequently, officials will serve the mid day meal at 12.30 pm. The department issued formal orders on the revised schedule.
However, schools that host Class 10 examination centres will run classes from 1 pm to 5 pm. Officials clarified that this schedule applies only to those campuses.
Meanwhile, summer vacation will begin from April 24. Schools will reopen on June 12 for the 2026 to 27 academic year, officials confirmed.
In addition, the department revised timings for Urdu medium schools during Ramzan. Government and aided Urdu medium schools will operate from 8 am to 1.30 pm.
If required, authorities may conduct extra classes once a week. Accordingly, the department issued separate instructions for implementation. (Maxim News)
