Hyderabad, Sept. 22: The Telangana Transport Department has suspended a constable at Bandlaguda RTO after a video showing him allegedly counting cash inside the office went viral.
Transport Commissioner K Ilambarithi ordered a detailed inquiry into the incident.
Constable Arun was suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
The department also removed Bandlaguda RTO officer Ram Chander and Motor Vehicle Inspector Bhim Singh from their responsibilities.
Both officials have been attached to the Transport Department headquarters pending further action.

The action followed the widespread circulation of the video on social media and subsequent media reports.
Officials said the inquiry will examine why the cash was being counted inside the RTO office.
It will also determine whether departmental rules or procedures were violated.
The department is separately examining allegations about the presence and functioning of agents at the RTO premises.
Transport officials have been directed to prevent agents from operating from or entering RTO offices.
Officials who violate these instructions will face strict action, the department said.
The inquiry will examine the viral video, supervision at the BandlagudaRTO and allegations concerning agents.
Further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
