Bijnor Judge Threat Case After Life Sentence

Hyderabad: Two convicts allegedly threatened a judge in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, after he sentenced them to life imprisonment in a 2024 car hit and kill case. The incident occurred on Thursday during court proceedings, according to reports from Bijnor.

Bijnor Additional District and Sessions Judge Justice Nijendra Kumar delivered the verdict in the case. The court found two men, Jaideep and Pintu Chauhan, guilty in connection with the death of a man who was hit and killed by a car in 2024. The judge then awarded life imprisonment to both accused.

Threats After Life Imprisonment Verdict in Bijnor Court

However, soon after the judge announced the sentence, the convicts reacted angrily inside the courtroom. They allegedly threatened the judge over the verdict. According to reports, they said that they know your house somewhere and will not leave. The remarks triggered immediate concern within court premises.

Meanwhile, police officials took note of the development. Authorities later confirmed that security for the judge has been increased following the threats. The incident has raised concerns over the safety of judicial officers handling serious criminal cases.

The case relates to a 2024 incident in which a man was hit and killed by a car. After hearing the matter, the court found Jaideep and Pintu Chauhan guilty and pronounced life imprisonment. However, the sentencing led to the tense situation inside the courtroom.
