Hyderabad, April 17 (Maxim News) : Passengers at Uppal Metro Station were alarmed after an anonymous caller claimed a bomb had been placed inside the station.
As soon as the threat call was received, metro staff alerted police and emergency teams. Therefore, bomb squad personnel rushed to the station and began a full search operation.
Officials took control of the premises and inspected all suspicious areas. Meanwhile, teams checked both platforms carefully to ensure passenger safety.
Security personnel carried out inspections without disrupting commuters. In addition, authorities asked passengers to remain calm during the operation.
Police said there was no need for panic and requested the public to cooperate with security checks. However, teams continued searches as a precaution.
Investigators have now started tracing the person behind the threat call. Moreover, police are examining call records and other technical evidence.
Officials warned that strict action will follow against anyone making fake bomb threats. They said such hoax calls create panic and waste emergency resources.
