Bakrid Coordination Meeting Held In Jubilee Hills Zone

Hyderabad, April 22 (Maxim News): Police and civic officials on Wednesday held a high level coordination meeting in Jubilee Hills Zone to ensure peaceful and smooth Bakrid celebrations in the city.

The meeting took place at Madhura Nagar Community Hall with participation from nearly 200 stakeholders.

Deputy Commissioner of Police A Ramana Reddy chaired the meeting. Additional DCP K Srikanth addressed the gathering. Officials from GHMC, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, Transport and Police departments also attended.

Community representatives, cattle transporters, Qureshi members and beef shop owners joined the discussions. Officials reviewed preparations and issued clear guidelines for festival management.

The DCP stressed close coordination among Police, GHMC and Veterinary departments. He said all agencies must work together for smooth arrangements and quick issue resolution.

Officials decided to run checkposts in three shifts. This step aims to monitor animal movement and ensure rule compliance throughout the festival period.

Authorities also issued strict warnings against illegal transport, sale or slaughter of cows and calves. Transporters must carry valid veterinary health certificates and official transport receipts.

Meanwhile, GHMC officers were asked to ensure sanitation, waste clearance and regular cleaning in sensitive areas. Civic teams will stay on alert during the celebrations.

Police officers explained traffic diversion plans to reduce congestion near markets, prayer venues and busy roads. They also urged traders and transporters to follow parking norms.

Appeal for Peace and Harmony

Officials called on all stakeholders to support the administration and maintain communal harmony. They asked citizens to celebrate responsibly and follow animal welfare rules.
