Hyderabad, May 19: A snake was spotted in Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area, causing panic among local residents and security staff on Monday morning.
The reptile was found near Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan resides. Security personnel and locals immediately alerted the police and forest department officials.
A trained snake catcher later rescued the reptile from the area without any injuries or damage.
Rat snake rescued near Galaxy Apartments
Wildlife experts identified the reptile as a rat snake, a non venomous species commonly found across India.
According to Pawan Sharma of the Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare, rat snakes mainly feed on rats and mice and play an important role in controlling rodent populations.
Officials said the rescued snake would undergo a medical examination before being released back into the wild.
The wildlife rescue team coordinated with the forest department during the rescue operation in Bandra.
