Narketpally/Hyderabad, june 11 (Maxim News): The Narketpally police have arrested gang leader Hamid Hussain and five members of his gang (Rohingya), who are involved in the theft of copper wire and oil from transformers in various districts of the state. 03 bikes worth Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. 7,71,000/cash, 02 cutters, 04 pans and hand gloves were seized from the gang members who were involved in a total of 12 crimes.
Nallagonda DSP K. Sivaram Reddy disclosed the details of the case on Thursday. On the orders of District SP Sarath Chandra Pawar, who has been paying special attention to the increasing theft of copper wire, oil and aluminum wire from transformers in the district, the Narkatpally police conducted surveillance, arrested the accused and produced them in court.
The accused have been identified as Hamid Hussain, Jahangir Alam, Noor Kasim, Noorul Amin and Noorul Alam from Hyderabad. Police said that they used to rent autos at night to find transformers located far from closed companies and villages, cut the transformers with the help of knives and cutters, steal oil, copper wire and other items from them, take them in autos and sell them to unknown people, and divide the money equally and hold jalsas. The District SP congratulated CCS Inspector Jitender Reddy, Narkatpally CI Nagaraju, SI Satish Verma, SI Vishnu Murthy, Head Constables Vishnuvardhan Giri, Pushpagiri, Waheed Pasha, Constables Asrar, Shivraj, Naresh, Junaid, and Kamal Kishore, who played a key role in effectively solving the case and arresting the accused under the supervision of DSP Sivaram Reddy.
