Hyderabad, July 7: Two unidentified men allegedly stole a mobile phone worth around Rs 1 lakh from a passerby in Saroornagar by using an attention diversion trick. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
According to the police, the incident took place on Monday. The two suspects arrived on a motorcycle without a registration number plate and deliberately pretended to fall on the road.
As the passerby stopped to help them, the duo took advantage of the distraction and quickly stole his mobile phone. They then fled the spot on the same motorcycle.
Meanwhile, a nearby CCTV camera captured the entire incident. Police are now examining the footage to identify and trace the suspects.
