In a three page letter to the Chief Minister, Konda Surekha alleged that Kadiyam Srihari bypassed the ministerial system and violated established administrative procedures by holding an official review on matters related to the Endowments Department.
Konda Surekha stated that policy decisions, administrative reviews, and developmental monitoring of the Endowments Department fall exclusively under the jurisdiction of the department’s minister. However, she alleged that Kadiyam Srihari convened a meeting with the Endowments Commissioner and other senior officials to discuss several key issues.
According to the minister, the review covered temple development works, allocation of funds, preparation of master plans, protection of temple lands, and removal of encroachments. She further claimed that the MLA issued directions to officials and fixed deadlines for completing various works.
The minister argued that such actions violated the government’s Rules of Business and undermined the authority of the department’s minister.
Konda Surekha said Kadiyam Srihari, being an experienced politician, was fully aware that departmental policy decisions and official reviews must take place under the supervision of the concerned minister. Therefore, she expressed concern that bypassing the minister could set an unhealthy administrative precedent.
She warned that such actions could weaken coordination within the government and create confusion among officials regarding administrative authority.
The minister urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to examine the matter, seek an explanation from Kadiyam Srihari, and ensure that similar incidents do not recur in the future. She also requested that the issue be referred to the party’s disciplinary committee for appropriate action if necessary.
